Got An Attitude Problem?

The only thing that anyone ever creates is their attitude. All else is a byproduct of that primary creation.

Whether you have kids, where you live, how you interact with others, what you wear, your finances, your hobbies, your religious views, whether you travel, etc. is all determined by your attitude. All of it. There isn't anything that you do that isn't directed by your attitude. Your attitude is the cornerstone of your life. You want it to be balanced and strong so your house doesn't topple over.

The central component of your attitude is your belief about the nature of reality. You either believe life is good, or you believe life is bad. It's one or the other. If you believe life is good and bad, then you don't believe it's good. Good means good. It's not mixed.

We're not accustomed to viewing our philosophy about life as a choice because we think there are set truths. We think life is either good on its own, or it's bad on its own. We don't think we get to choose our perspective. Instead, we're taught to look at life and to try to figure out whether life is good or bad by what we see happen. Your philosophy, however, will determine what you see and how you see it. It's a primary force, not a secondary force. So, it's a bit of a joke to think that you're looking at life impartially. There's a little wink, wink going on there. You're looking at it through your attitude, and your attitude will give you results to match its thesis.

Thus, the question really is, "What do I want to believe about the nature of reality?" You can't see a different world unless the thing that's doing the looking is different. In other words, if you want to see a good world, you have to look at it from the perspective that it is a good world. The viewer determines that which is seen. This is an issue of attitude and nothing else.

Your heart has a say in your attitude. It wants you to believe certain things about the nature of reality. It will pull at you, and if you listen and change the way you're looking at things, you'll see a different world. Quite literally. Try it. Attitude is everything, and the great thing about attitude is that it can change at the drop of a hat, so you're never stuck.
